Debby Luetkenhoelter was my son's autism consultant for several years until she moved out of state.  When I speak to others about her, I refer to her as 'my son's savior'.  She was the first person who understood how his autism impacted him and what supports he needed to be more successful-both at school and at home.  She understood his communication needs, his social needs and his behavioral needs and how they were all intertwined.  She put the supports in place that enabled him to communicate more effectively, to be more socially appropriate and to help reduce some of his negative behaviors.  I can't say enough good things about Debby...she's the best and we wish she would move back to the area!

Vienna loves to come to speech therapy.  Debby makes it fun and encouraging for Vienna.  It has only been 3 sessions so far but we have already seen an improvement.  After only 1/2 hour of therapy,Vienna could correctly say "sh".  I had tried to get her to do that for so long but got no-where.

"Debby has worked with my 7 year old autism-challenged daughter for just over one year, and in that time my daughter has made more progress in her speech abilities than in the previous four years working with various other speech therapists.  Debby has a wonderful way with my daughter; very understanding of her challenges, yet determined to push her to continue growing in her abilities.  I have also learned a great deal about working with my daughter by observing Debby's work with her, and Debby is always open to communication and questions regarding her progress.  Debby has made a hugely positive impact on my daughter's ability to communicate, and has helped us to progress towards our goal of ensuring that she meets her full potential in life.  Needless to say, I am very thankful for the service that Debby offers, as she has truly been a blessing in our lives."

My daughter has been coming to Jacksonville Family Speech Center for a few months now.  Thanks to Debby she is becoming a mature teenager.  She is learning eye-contact, how to give others a turn to talk and how to summarize what she has to say.  These are problems I knew she needed to work on but I had NO idea how to help her.  Debby has done a wonderful job teaching her these skills.  Thank you Debby
